But what do agility and resiliency really mean for healthcare executives? How can you develop these qualities to help you keep up with and manage the endless influx of external and internal changes you face? During this engaging seminar\, share the key behaviors you should aspire to when leading yourself\, your teams and your organization through change. Using the latest research\, compelling case studies and interactive activities\, share methods for adapting to change\, making quick and informed decisions\, and developing strategies to achieve strategic goals. You will leave with a practical guide for addressing ineffective behaviors and meaningful tools for overcoming common challenges in the current healthcare environment. \nSession 2: Leading in a Changing Environment: Focus on Population Health\, Jon Burroughs\nOur current healthcare system is rapidly moving from a fragmented fee-for-service system that focuses on sickness toward a risk-based\, capitated population health system that revolves around optimizing health. This drastic change requires new subpopulation business models and infrastructure to support it. Expert faculty will present case studies that show various ways in which organizations are making the necessary changes to move into a capitated population health environment. In addition\, the faculty will share how to engage and align with physicians and key stakeholders to improve the health\, experience and per capita cost of defined subpopulations. Attendees are encouraged to contribute to this eye-opening dialogue that will challenge assumptions. \nSession 3: Integrating Quality and Cost in a Value-Based Era\, Jon Burroughs\nTo successfully lead in an increasingly pay-for-value environment\, healthcare executives must be able to convert quality metrics—such as case mix index and length of stay—into financial metrics. During this seminar\, participants will explore this core competency under the direction of expert faculty members\, each of whom has extensive healthcare financial experience. Through review of case studies and hands-on application\, you will learn valuable skills\, including the financial calculations and ratios that will allow your organization to convert quality metrics to meaningful financial outcomes. Learn to develop business plans for proposed payer and provider contracts that will maximize value and align the organization’s interests with those of key stakeholders. As healthcare rapidly evolves away from pay for volume to pay for value\, executives cannot afford to ignore this crucial management competency. \nSession 4: Optimizing Ambulatory Management for the 21st Century\, Jon Burroughs\nThe healthcare industry is accelerating the transition from inpatient to ambulatory care as payment models move increasingly from volume to value. Ambulatory venues have lower cost structures\, enable more flexible care models\, and provide optimized service and value outcomes. This seminar will explore how ambulatory models provide unlimited ways to optimize clinical outcomes at a fraction of the traditional cost. Expert faculty will highlight the essential operational competencies for ambulatory management using a variety of ambulatory facilities to illustrate key points. Types of organizations discussed will include accountable care organizations\, patient-centered medical homes\, ambulatory surgery centers\, primary care centers\, retail clinics and e-health platforms. You will review a cross section of today’s ambulatory models and examine the evolving leadership skills that will be needed to optimize their performance.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTicket Information: \nBundle of all 4 sessions 11/13 & 12/10\n4 sessions\, 6 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $60 \nBundle of 2 Sessions on 11/13\n2 sessions\, 3 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $40 \nBundle of 2 Sessions on 12/10\n2 sessions\, 3 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $40 \nSession 1 – Agility & Resilience in Healthcare Leadership: Key Behaviors for Leading Changes\n1 session\, 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $25 \nSession 2 – Leading in a Changing Environment: Focus on Population Health\n1 session\, 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $25 \nSession 3 – Integrating Quality and Cost in a Value-Based Era \n1 session\, 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $25 \nSession 4 – Optimizing Ambulatory Management for the 21st Century\n1 session\, 1.5 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits\nACHE Member (any chapter) $25 \nEach session will be hosted by ACHE’s virtual learning platform (GoToWebinar).
