The Wisconsin Hospital Association is pleased to, once again, invite members of the ACHE-Wisconsin Chapter to the annual WHA Advocacy Day in Madison on March 21.
Advocacy Day is an event where 1,100 hospital/system leaders, employees, trustees and volunteers descend on Madison to learn and advocate. Additionally, each year, ACHE-WI launches at Advocacy Day our new Leadership Development Program cohort.
Advocacy Day’s morning keynote is Mara Liasson, the national political correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR). Her reports can be heard regularly on NPR’s award-winning newsmagazines, All Things Considered and Morning Edition. She provides extensive coverage of politics and policy from Washington, DC-focusing on the White House and Congress-and also reports on political trends beyond the Beltway. The day’s luncheon keynote will be Governor Scott Walker (invited)and a legislative leadership panel discussion will round out the morning sessions.
You are also welcomed and encouraged to participate in one of the most important parts of the day-meeting with your legislators in the afternoon. This is your opportunity to be a hospital advocate on important health care-related issues. To prepare attendees for their meetings, WHA schedules all meetings and provides an issues briefing at Advocacy Day. Additionally, WHA will host an optional pre-event webinar on these legislative visits. That webinar will take place at 10:00am on March 7.
Join fellow ACHE-WI members at WHA’s 2018 Advocacy Day on March 21. Advocacy Day is free, but pre-registration is required. Register today at: www.whareg4.org/2018AdvocacyDay
We hope to see you in Madison on March 21!
