WHA Invites ACHE-Wisconsin to Advocacy Day

The Wisconsin Hospital Association is pleased to, once again, invite members of the ACHE-Wisconsin Chapter to the annual WHA Advocacy Day in Madison on March 21.

Advocacy Day’s morning keynote is Mara Liasson, the national political correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR). Her reports can be heard regularly on NPR’s award-winning newsmagazines, All Things Considered and Morning Edition. She provides extensive coverage of politics and policy from Washington, DC-focusing on the White House and Congress-and also reports on political trends beyond the Beltway. The day’s luncheon keynote will be Governor Scott Walker (invited)and a legislative leadership panel discussion will round out the morning sessions.
You are also welcomed and encouraged to participate in one of the most important parts of the day-meeting with your legislators in the afternoon. This is your opportunity to be a hospital advocate on important health care-related issues. To prepare attendees for their meetings, WHA schedules all meetings and provides an issues briefing at Advocacy Day. Additionally, WHA will host an optional pre-event webinar on these legislative visits. That webinar will take place at 10:00am on March 7.

Our 2018 conference theme is Building Bridges and Creating Connections in Healthcare. We also are looking for ideas for a keynote presenter around that theme and possibly a healthcare system that has a strong and positive relationship with a community organization.

If you have the experience in any of these areas, please volunteer to participate by completing the form below.
